A gentle 3-hour introduction to the art of woodturning. Each student will have their own piece of wood to work on that will be pre-prepared and ready to turn. We will each make a small bowl that I will demonstrate in stages for each student to follow in turn.
“I totally enjoyed a wonderful beginner’s tuition day with Ravi. He is a truly marvellous tutor: knowledgeable, personable, patient and his calm step-by-step approach and clear instruction enabled me to quickly gain confidence using a lathe - for the first time! I learned a huge amount in just a few hours and came away from the tuition session greatly inspired - and with the bowl I’d made!”

The stages of woodturning a bowl
“I’d always wanted to have a go at wood turning and Ravi gave me a greater insight into basic tool techniques. He was very patient and had a calm and relaxed teaching style. I thoroughly enjoyed my full day of training and gained confidence in using the tools and the lathe. I now have my own lathe so I can continue to improve my knowledge and skills. Thank you Ravi.”
