Tutored Open Studio Sessions (3-week block)

  • Yardley Arts, The Old School Hall The Square, Yardley Hastings Northampton, England, NN7 United Kingdom (map)

This 3-week teaching block with Cathy Burnett offers you a chance to start or develop a creative project alongside fellow creatives, with a tutor at hand. Cathy will get the ball rolling with advice and inspiration, helping you achieve your creative goals with tailored support and guidance.

Maybe you’ve been harbouring the idea of trying out a new medium but don’t want to make a mess at home. Or want to have go at painting with a palette knife instead of a paintbrush – this is the place to come and experiment with the help of Cathy’s knowledge and enthusiasm.

At Yardley Arts, we offer the space to create in a wonderfully light and relaxed environment.

It’s simple – just bring the artwork of your choice, share the space with other creatives and get stuck in. Whatever your choice of activity, we should be able to accommodate you.

You will have choice of a table or an easel (upright or table) to work from – or the floor if you prefer!

If you’ve already attended art classes and need encouragement to continue, then this could be the class for you.

If you are a complete beginner, then Cathy will be ready with an activity which will enable you to make a start. With tutor guidance and the companionship of other creative people, you should soon build the confidence to develop your own projects.

Cathy inspires confidence in us all. I was totally absorbed with her tutoring - she is great fun as well. Thank you again.
— Richard West
