Enjoy the experience of painting a landscape in acrylics with the advantages of a textured canvas. It doesn’t need a frame so it can go directly on your wall!
We will follow a step by step demonstrated approach and you will learn and use a wide range of techniques in the process.
This is a 2 half-day course, of 6 hours tuition and follows on from my earlier Yardley Arts courses.

About the tutor
Chris is a very experienced teacher and practitioner. She is friendly and relaxed and aims to increase your confidence in your work and your ability.
Chris paints mainly in acrylic or watercolour, and sometimes with mixed media or pastels. She enjoys painting outside whenever possible and often whatever the weather! Chris is a member of the Town & County Art Society and serves on their Council.
She has won prizes locally and nationally with two awards from the Royal Watercolour Society in their 21st Century Open Exhibition that led to a very successful solo exhibition in London. She has exhibited with the New English Art Club at the Mall Gallery London, Bankside Gallery London, Woburn Abbey, Lamport Hall, the Guildhall Gallery Northampton, 78 Derngate Gallery, and has had work accepted by the Royal Academy. Private and corporate bodies including the Savoy Group have purchased her paintings.
In 2025 she was approached by a musician in Australia for the use of one of her landscape sketches for a CD cover, now published. ‘Children During Wartime’ – Chris Parkinson. This sketch was originally used as an image for one of her Yardley Arts Courses!
