Over the 5-week course with silversmith, Beccy Gillatt, you will be guided through traditional jewellery making techniques and designing methods to enable you to develop your own creations, and craft them in silver and include gemstones.
Week 1 - Silver rings - choose from triple-linked ring, knot ring, forged ring or your own design.
Weeks 2-4 - Shaped cabochon stone setting.
Week 5 - Personal project.
Dates and cost
Fridays, starting on 29 April for five weeks.
Cost: £130 per person. Materials will be available to purchase during the course, but if you would like to bring your own, this information will be sent to you weekly.
Course limit
The course is limited to 8 spaces (maximum). The course is suitable for both total beginners and those with some experience.

What you need to bring:
An apron (or old clothes)
Notepad (blank page) or sketchbook
Pen and pencil
Textures such as skeleton leaves, fabric off cuts, textured paper
What to wear
Please make sure that you have a hairband to tie your hair back and do not wear floaty skirts, really loose fitting clothes, scarves or open toe shoes, as we will be in a workshop environment. We will use torches and some acids, which can damage clothes so an apron or pinny is recommended as well as remembering not to wear your favourite jeans!
