The aim of the drop-in Watercolour Art Group is to create a space in our lives to practice techniques and to experiment in a relaxed, sociable environment - and you never know, you might produce something wonderful! Polly Parrish will be on hand to help if needed.
Yardley Arts has a very good selection of books on watercolour artists, techniques and specialist art magazines providing great tips and inspiration. We have WiFi so if you want to bring iPads to reference an image, please do so.
For those who are looking for a structured watercolour workshop our next one is on Saturday 10 November.
What to bring
Please bring with you your watercolour paints, paintbrush(es) and watercolour paper.
Tea, coffee and biscuits are available for £1.
Our local pub, The Rose & Crown (a few doors up from the arts centre on the LHS) serves snacks and food (midday and evenings) and, as a Yardley Arts participant, you can get 15% OFF food on the day of your class. Just quote the title of the course to a member of staff. For menus take a look at the pub’s website.
This is a drop-in event, so there is no need to book in advance - simply pay £7.50 at the door (cash only please). It’s suitable for all ages and abilities, just an interest in watercolour painting is required.
